A hyperbaric chamber doesn’t have a list price because you never buy just the chamber itself. Operating it requires a compressor, an oxygen concentrator, and a cooler, plus delivery, installation, setup, training, and—for hard-shell chambers—a maintenance contract. Which of these items apply to you depends on eight factors. Here’s how each one affects the price. You’ll receive the actual amount in your quote, with all items listed individually and in writing.
The Eight Cost Factors
| factor | What's Changing | Example from the product line |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Type | Softshell (TPU shell with a frame) or hard shell (molded body made of steel, stainless steel, or aluminum, often with acrylic or polycarbonate windows) | Flow 90 as a softshell with a capacity of 30 kg; Orbit as a stainless steel hard-shell with a capacity of 260 kg |
| 2. Pressure Level | At higher pressure settings, the same type of chamber becomes significantly heavier. This affects transportation, installation, and ground load. | Trojan: 180 kg at 2.0 ATA, 400 kg at 2.4 ATA. Zeugma: 400 kg at 2.0 ATA, 700 kg at 2.4 ATA |
| 3. People and Size | Each additional person requires more chamber volume and usually needs their own oxygen concentrator. | Zeugma for 1 person with 1 concentrator, Zeugma Panorama for 2 with 2 concentrators, Mediterranean for 4 or more with 4 concentrators and a buffer tank |
| 4. Care | Depending on the model, the compressor, concentrator, and cooler are either included in the package or sold separately. | Flow, Oasis, Space, Orbit, Vista: all included. Helios: 10 l/min concentrator included. Zeugma, Petra, Anatolia, Trojan, Atlantis: compressor and 10 BIBS masks included; concentrator and air cooler sold separately |
| 5. Features | Options you select during configuration | Air dryer, CO₂ sensor, vital signs monitoring, tablet or TV, reclining seat, larger chamber design (+10 cm diameter), additional window, electric door and wheelchair ramp (Matrix), fire protection system (Atlantis, Mediterranean), over 170 RAL colors, logo |
| 6. Delivery and Installation | Weight, number of parts, and the distance from the truck to the installation site. Modular chambers can be moved through doors in sections, while rigid chambers must be moved through in one piece. | Zeugma, Petra, and Zeugma Panorama come in 3 modules; Mediterranean comes in 5 modules for 80-cm doors. Vista (700 kg) and Matrix come in one piece. |
| 7. Preparing the Room | Electricity, floor space, ventilation, and room temperature. For softshell tents, we check the electrical outlets and floor space; large hard-shell tents require their own dedicated, fused power connection. | Softshell with HyperFlow: 1,100 W. Zeugma: 8.1 kW, 40-A fuse with RCD, minimum floor load capacity of 700 kg/m², 600 to 750 l/min of fresh air, approx. 8 kW heat output |
| 8. Setup, Training, and Service | On-site installation, commissioning, training, maintenance contract, and service package | Transport, installation, and training are listed as separate items in the quote. Each hard case comes with a maintenance contract that includes technical support in German. |
What many people don't realize until after they've made a purchase
Most surprises don't come from the room itself, but from everything around it. That's why we clarify these points before making an offer:
- Concentrator and cooler: These are required for many hard-shell units, but are not included in the scope of delivery. A 20-l/min concentrator weighs 155 kg, draws 2,500 W, and reaches up to 72 dB. It requires its own space.
- The narrowest point in the building: It's not the front door that matters, but the narrowest door, the tightest turn in the hallway, or the elevator.
- Room Temperature and Air: The Zeugma with its supply system emits approximately 8 kW of heat; the room where it is installed should be kept at 20 to 24 °C and receive 600 to 750 l/min of fresh air. We’ll discuss in advance how to achieve this in your room.
- Floor load: Petra weighs 900 kg (2.0 ATA) or 1,100 kg (2.4 ATA), plus the additional equipment. On the upper floor, it’s worth checking the structural calculations.
- Ongoing expenses: Electricity for the compressor, concentrator, and cooler, as well as maintenance. We'll provide you with the power rating of your model so you can do the math.
From Simple to Complex Projects
Sorted by the effort required for preparation, serving, and space, not by price:
- Softshell for lying down or sitting (Flow 80, Flow 90, Oasis, Space): Included with delivery, minimal setup required, delivered in parts.
- Compact hard-shell recliner (Orbit 1.5, Orbit 2.0): Included with purchase, 260 kg, rigid; must fit through the entrance to the home.
- Hard-shell case for 1 person with 2.0 or 2.4 ATA (Zeugma, Petra, Anatolia, Trojan, Helios): Concentrator and cooler sold separately depending on the model; electrical and ground testing required.
- Multi-person chambers (Zeugma Panorama, Atlantis, Helios Duo, Matrix Dos, Mediterranean): larger chamber volume; most models include one concentrator per person; modular models are assembled on site.
- Multibare and hypobare chambers (HPOD UNO, TAMPA, Apex): Vacuum pump included; concentrator and air cooler sold separately.
What We Need for Your Quote
- How many people at a time, and whether lying down or sitting
- Desired pressure setting, if you already have one
- Personal or business, and in which country
- Width of the narrowest door and photos of the route to the installation site
- Floor, elevator (yes or no), floor layout
- The power supply available at the installation site
- When the chamber should be set up
You will then receive a quote that lists the chamber, supplies, options, delivery, setup, training, and service separately. You make the decision before anything is ordered.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a price list?
No. Each chamber is configured for your space, so we price each project individually.
Are the concentrator and cooler included in the price?
For Flow, Oasis, Space, Orbit, and Vista, yes. The Helios models come with a 10 l/min concentrator. For Zeugma, Petra, Anatolia, Trojan, Atlantis, Mediterranean, Matrix, and the multi-bar chambers, they are sold separately.
