A home oxygen chamber is a pressure chamber into which a compressor pumps ambient air until the set pressure is reached. You breathe in oxygen separately through a mask or nasal cannula, supplied by an oxygen concentrator with a purity of about 93%. For home use, two main designs are available: soft-shell chambers with 1.2 to 1.5 ATA (the Oasis Pro up to 2.0 ATA) and the compact hard-shell Orbit with 1.2 to 1.5 or 1.2 to 2.0 ATA.
What Happens in the Chamber
ATA stands for absolute pressure. 1.0 ATA is the normal atmospheric pressure at sea level; at 1.5 ATA, the pressure in the chamber is 50% higher. The compressor builds up the pressure, and a valve maintains it at the selected level. With the Softshell models, you select the level using a pressure selection valve (1.2 / 1.3 / 1.4 / 1.5 ATA); with the Orbit model, you set the pressure and duration on the control panel, with a timer ranging from 0 to 120 minutes.
As the pressure builds, you'll feel pressure in your ears, similar to what you feel on an airplane during the final approach. You can equalize the pressure by swallowing. At the end of the session, the pressure returns to normal, and then you open the chamber.
The chamber includes three devices: a compressor (compressed air), an oxygen concentrator, and a cooler. With the Flow, Oasis, Space, and Orbit models, all three are included in the package—either as a single unit (HyperFlow) or as three separate devices. With the Oasis Pro, the supply devices for your configuration are available for purchase.
Softshell or hard-shell for home use
A softshell is a TPU shell with a metal frame and a zipper. It weighs between 30 and 46 kg and can be adjusted. A hardshell is a rigid stainless-steel structure with a sliding door and windows; the Orbit weighs 260 kg and stands on built-in casters.

Oxygen: 10 L/min for the Flow, Oasis, Space, and Orbit models; 15 L/min for the Oasis Pro. You can find additional chambers—including those for two to four people—under " Hyperbaric Oxygen Chambers."
What Your Room Needs
Footprint
Plan for the chamber plus space for the supply equipment. The HyperFlow unit (compressor, concentrator, and cooler all in one) measures 77 × 35 × 75 cm and weighs 110 kg. As individual units, they consist of a 17-kg compressor, a concentrator, and a 7-kg cooler.
Electricity
The HyperFlow unit draws 1,100 W. For the individual units, the compressor draws 320 W, the concentrator draws 700 W, and the cooler draws 320 W. We’ll check with you before placing the order to determine which outlets and fuses you’ll need.
Noise
The single concentrator operates at a maximum of 60 dB. We determine the location of the supply and the required length of the hoses to the chamber during the planning phase.
Path to the House
A Softshell comes in separate parts: shell 17 kg, frame 8.5 kg, mattress 4.5 kg. The Orbit is rigid, has a diameter of 90 cm, and weighs 260 kg. Measure the doors, hallway, and stairwell before you order, and send us photos of the path to the installation site.
If you're looking for a larger hard-shell case
For a private wellness area, there are also hyperbaric chambers such as the ProReset Zeugma, available in 2.0 or 2.4 ATA models. It comes in three modules, each 77 cm wide, and thus fits through doors that are at least 80 cm wide. The room itself, however, requires significantly more space:
- 8.1 kW connected load via 5 220 V outlets, a 40-A fuse with a ground-fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) and grounding
- Floor load-bearing capacity of at least 700 kg/m²
- 600 to 750 l/min of fresh air, 20 to 24 °C at 40 to 65% relative humidity
- Space for approximately 262 kg of auxiliary equipment (compressor, concentrator, cooler, dryer) and a heat output of approximately 8 kW
- Wi-Fi for Control
How the chambers control the pressure
- Softshells (Flow, Oasis, Space): Emergency pressure relief valve that, according to the manufacturer, allows you to exit the capsule in 30 to 45 seconds without assistance. Pressure gauges on the inside and outside. The Flow is designed to be operated by a single person, while the Space can be operated from both the inside and outside.
- Oasis Pro: automatic pressure relief valves, internal and external pressure gauges, integrated safety pressure regulation.
- Orbit: Door sensor—pressure builds up only when the door is closed. Emergency valves release the pressure in about 30 seconds. If the power goes out, the chamber automatically depressurizes and unlocks the door. Intercom system to the outside.
- Zeugma: Emergency shut-off valves inside and outside, emergency relief valve inside, mechanical pressure gauge. Emergency pressure relief from 2.0 to 1.0 ATA in 90 seconds.
During the handover, we'll show you how to operate the chamber, what happens during a session, and how to clean it.
Delivery, Installation, and Service
- Delivery via a freight forwarder in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Delivery, assembly, and training are listed as separate items in your quote.
- Before placing your order, we'll work with you to check the installation space, electrical outlets, door widths, and the path to the installation location.
- A single point of contact from the initial inquiry through to completion, in German.
- Every hard-shell case comes with a maintenance contract and technical support. We’ll specify the manufacturer’s warranty in writing in the quote; the statutory warranty always applies.
- Want to try it out first? Tell us where you live. We'll check to see if a viewing is possible near you.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a normal blood pressure reading at home?
The softshells in the lineup operate at 1.2 to 1.5 ATA, the Space models up to 1.4 ATA, and the Oasis Pro up to 2.0 ATA. The Orbit is available in 1.2 to 1.5 or 1.2 to 2.0 ATA. Pressure ratings such as 2.4 ATA are only available for hard-shell models.
Do I need my own oxygen concentrator?
It comes standard with the Flow, Oasis, Space, and Orbit models, and is included with the Oasis Pro as part of a special offer. The chamber itself is filled with ambient air, and you breathe in the oxygen through a mask or nasal cannula.
Can I use the chamber by myself?
According to the manufacturer, the Flow is designed to be operated by a single person, with pressure gauges inside and outside; you can exit the capsule without assistance using the emergency pressure relief valve. The Orbit is operated from both inside and outside, with an intercom system connecting to the outside.
Is a chamber suitable for an apartment?
A Flow 80 requires 230 × 80 cm plus space for utilities and comes in parts (casing 17 kg, frame 8.5 kg). For the Orbit (260 kg, rigid, 90 cm in diameter), we check the stairwell, elevator, and floor load capacity in advance.
How much does a home oxygen chamber cost?
We list the price in the quote, with each item itemized. You can find out what determines the price under “How much does a hyperbaric chamber cost?”
Can I pay in installments?
Yes, via PayPal for eligible customers. For studios and practices, we offer rent-to-own and leasing options.
