How the " Iron Neck" works: guide rail, friction wheel, air cushion.
A neck harness with a weight plate pulls in one direction. The Iron Neck guides the strap along a rail around your head, so the pull comes from whatever direction you move in.

The track goes all the way around the head.
The belt engages with a carriage on the guide rail. Whether you lean forward, stretch backward, tilt to the side, or turn: the pull always comes from the opposite direction. Hold or move without having to reconfigure anything.
The friction wheel slows down the rotation.
The Variable Friction Dial is what sets the 3.0 apart from the 3.0 Pro. When set to zero, the carriage glides freely. As you turn the dial, it slows the head’s rotation until you feel noticeable resistance. You start off gently and then increase the resistance as you go.

Inflate an air cushion to the appropriate pressure.
The ring contains an inflatable cushion, along with three interchangeable front cushions. You inflate it until the ring fits snugly. This allows multiple people to use the same device.
Neck Workouts at Home and at the Gym
The anchors are included with each model. Whether on the door or on the rack, the strap connects the anchor to the slide on the track.

At Home at the Door
Attach the door hinge or door anchor to a solid, sturdy door. Hook the strap onto it, and attach the other end to the sled. Put on the ring, inflate the air cushion, and off you go.

At the gym, at the rack
The Cinch Anchor wraps around a rack post or another sturdy post. The Strength Bundle also includes the Alpha Harness Plus for exercises with weight plates.
Neck Trainer Comparison: Iron Neck vs. Neck Harness
A set of weights with a weight plate is a good tool for backward stretches. Rotation and lateral bending against resistance require a different approach.
| Design Principle | Iron Neck 3.0 Pro | Iron Neck 3.0 | Weighted neck harness |
|---|---|---|---|
| Direction of travel | 360° around the track | 360° around the track | Essentially, an axis |
| Rotation Against Resistance | Yes, using the Variable Friction Dial | No, the sled always runs smoothly | No |
| Minimum load | Lightest belt, wheel at zero | Lightest Ribbon | The lightest disc |
| Anchoring | Door, rack, or post | Door, rack, or post | Weight depends on the harness |
Comparison of design principles; no statements regarding specific third-party products. You can also find the Iron Neck 3.0 (without a friction wheel ) and the Alpha Harness Plus individually in the store.

Frequently Asked Questions About the Iron Neck.
Before You Begin
- The Iron Neck is a fitness device, not a medical device. We do not provide any health recommendations.
- If you've had an injury, surgery, or persistent neck or spine problems, check with your doctor or therapist before starting this workout.
- Start with the bike set to zero and the lightest resistance level. Never exercise if you experience pain, dizziness, or numbness.
- Check the strap, ring, and anchor before each use. The door anchor must be attached to a closed, sturdy door.
What is the difference between Iron Neck 3.0 and 3.0 Pro?
The 3.0 Pro features the Variable Friction Dial. This allows you to adjust the head rotation smoothly, from free-gliding to locked. On the 3.0, the slider always moves friction-free. The guide rail and AirFit fit are the same.
How can I exercise my neck at home?
You'll need a solid, sturdy door. Attach a door strap or door anchor to it, then hook the strap onto it and onto the slide of the track. Then place the ring on, inflate the air cushion until it’s secure, and work against the tension: forward, backward, sideways, or in a circular motion. The anchor and 25-lb strap are included with every model; lighter or heavier straps are included depending on the bundle.
Can I use the " Iron Neck " on the rack at the gym?
Yes. The Cinch anchor wraps around a rack post or another sturdy post, and you hook the strap onto it. The Strength Bundle also includes the Alpha Harness Plus for exercises with weight plates.
Is there an alternative to the Iron Neck?
Yes, it works on a different principle. A neck harness with a weight plate essentially pulls in one direction, usually to stretch the neck backward. With a strap and anchor, a harness also pulls in other directions, but the pull doesn’t run along a track around the head. The Iron Neck 3.0 has the same track as the 3.0 Pro, just without the pulley for rotation. You can find an overview of all models in the neck trainer section.
Does the ring fit everyone?
According to the manufacturer, the AirFit system—with its air cushion and three front cushions—adapts to different head shapes and sizes. Some individual buyers with very small heads have reported that the ring is difficult to secure tightly enough. If you're unsure, please let us know your head circumference before you order.
Is the Iron Neck a medical device?
No. Iron Neck is a training and strengthening device, not a medical device. Please consult your doctor or therapist to determine whether neck exercises are appropriate for you following an injury.
How much does shipping cost, and where do you deliver?
Shipping is free for all three options to all EU countries and Switzerland. For Switzerland, meineinkauf.ch handles customs clearance, and import duties are calculated there. See the shipping guidelines for more information.
Can I return the Iron Neck ?
Yes, 30 days from the date of receipt. Please notify us of your return in advance at beratung@kraftathlet.de. You are responsible for the return shipping costs. All terms and conditions are listed in the return policy.
