Von der Anwendung abzusehen ist unter anderem bei dekompensierter Herzinsuffizienz, bestehender oder vermuteter Thrombose, ausgedehnter Thrombophlebitis, akutem Erysipel oder akuter Phlegmone, Kompartmentsyndrom, schwerer nicht eingestellter Hypertonie, akuten Infektionen oder offenen Wunden im Anwendungsbereich sowie schwerer peripherer arterieller Verschlusskrankheit.
